  • 1. The RELIC Service

1.1. RELIC is a streaming platform for Volumetric Content that uses Gaussian Splatting technology to represent and play three-dimensional scenes. It is a paid service.

1.2. RELIC’s volumetric streaming and Gaussian Splatting technology is used under its own license. The rights in that technology belong to José Francisco Domínguez Gómez.

1.3. The Service is offered through the site relic-vr.com, the application, and compatible devices. The technical requirements, supported formats, and specifications are published in the Service and may be updated. Certain connectivity, hardware, or software may be required.

1.4. Unless expressly stated, RELIC is not the author or producer of User Content and acts as a hosting and intermediation service provider, without prejudice to its moderation obligations.

    2. Types of content

2.1. User Content: that uploaded or made available by users (Creators).

2.2. Licensed Content: that provided by Solares Films or other Rights Holders (production companies, studios, and others) and transmitted with their authorization.

    3. Conditions for Creators (those who upload content)

3.1. Eligibility. You must meet the age requirements in the Terms. To receive payment, you must be over 18 years old.

3.2. Technical specifications. Content must meet the published formats, sizes, and specifications. We may reject, convert, or limit files for technical or security reasons.

3.3. License and ownership. You retain ownership of your content and grant us the limited license described in clause 7 of the Terms, solely to operate the Service and to distribute your content.

3.4. Your warranties. You represent that you hold all rights in the content and over the people, works, trademarks, music, designs, and places that appear in it, including the image and data-processing authorizations (including biometric data) of the individuals captured in volumetric scenes, in accordance with clause 8 of the Terms, and you confirm this upon uploading.

3.5. Responsibility. You are solely responsible for your content and for any claim arising from it.

    4. Creator monetization

4.1. How it works. RELIC shares with Creators part of the revenue that the Service obtains from subscriptions, from access to their content, or from other monetization features (tips, purchases, or revenue sharing), subject to these Conditions and to the specific terms of each program.

4.2. Revenue sharing. The percentage corresponding to the Creator and to RELIC is indicated in the terms of the monetization program. The amounts you receive are net of processing fees, refunds, chargebacks, taxes, and applicable withholdings.

4.3. Identity verification (KYC). To receive payments, you must complete identity verification, pass the sanctions screening, provide valid tax and payment details, and reach the minimum payment threshold indicated. Payments are made through our payment processor, within the periods published.

4.4. Taxes. You are responsible for the taxes on your income. We may request tax documentation from you, withhold, or report in accordance with Applicable law, including VAT rules on digital services.

4.5. Withholdings and adjustments. We may withhold, suspend, offset, or reverse payments in cases of fraud, chargebacks, refunds, breach, or legal requirement.

4.6. Sponsored content. If you publish sponsored or commercial content, you must clearly disclose it in accordance with Applicable law.

    5. Conditions for Viewers

5.1. Paid access. Access to the Service requires a paid subscription (see section 6).

5.2. Viewing license. You are granted a personal, limited, non-exclusive, and non-transferable license to play content by streaming, for personal and non-commercial use.

5.3. Downloads. The Service is for streaming viewing. You may not record, copy, redistribute, commercially exploit, or circumvent technological protection measures.

5.4. Availability. The catalog and the availability by territory may change.

    6. Subscriptions, plans, and billing

6.1. Plans and price. Access to the Service is offered through a paid subscription of approximately MXN 80. The exact price, the period (for example, monthly), and what it includes are described at the time of purchase. We may offer a free or promotional tier at our discretion.

6.2. Automatic renewal. Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, at the price in force, unless you cancel before the renewal date. We will inform you clearly and before charging you, in accordance with Applicable law (including automatic-renewal laws).

6.3. Cancellation. You may cancel at any time; it takes effect at the end of the period already paid, without a refund of the current period unless the law provides otherwise.

6.4. Free trials. If we offer a free trial, it will convert into a paid subscription when the trial ends, unless you cancel before then; we will inform you clearly.

6.5. Right of withdrawal (EU/UK consumers). You have 14 days to withdraw. However, by requesting the immediate start of the Service (access to digital content), you acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once performance has begun, in accordance with applicable law. We will respect any additional refund rights granted by law.

6.6. Price changes. We will notify you of changes a reasonable time in advance; if you do not accept them, you may cancel before they take effect.

6.7. Declined payments. If a charge is declined, we may retry it and suspend access to paid features until it is resolved.

6.8. Payment processors. Payments are processed through our payment processor. We do not store the full details of your payment method.

    7. Acceptable Use Policy and Community Standards

It is prohibited to upload, transmit, generate, or distribute content, or to engage in conduct, that:

7.1. Is illegal or promotes, facilitates, or instructs unlawful activities.

7.2. Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — zero tolerance. Any content that exploits, sexualizes, or endangers minors is absolutely prohibited, will be removed and reported to the competent authorities (in the United States, to NCMEC’s CyberTipline, a de facto standard even for platforms with users in that country), and will result in the immediate termination of the account. RELIC addresses reports of this type of content with the highest priority and may implement detection tools as the Service develops.

7.3. Explicit, pornographic, or adult content. The Service is general-audience and family-friendly and does not allow pornography, sexually explicit content, or graphic violence.

7.4. Non-consensual intimate images (NCII), including synthetic images or “deepfakes” — notice and takedown. These are prohibited. We maintain a clear and accessible process for any person (whether or not they have an account) to report intimate images of themselves published without their consent and to request their removal. After a valid request, we will remove the content and make reasonable efforts to remove identical copies within 48 hours, and we will assign you a tracking number. Channel: support@relic-vr.com.

7.5. Infringe third-party rights: copyright, trademarks, patents, designs, image, privacy, personal data, or trade secrets.

7.6. Violate the image or data rights of individuals captured in volumetric scenes without their consent.

7.7. Promote hatred or violence: hate speech, incitement to violence, extremism, terrorism, or discrimination on protected grounds.

7.8. Harass or harm people: harassment, threats, impersonation, or doxing.

7.9. Are misleading or fraudulent: scams, impersonation, manipulation, or harmful disinformation.

7.10. Compromise security: malicious software, phishing, unauthorized scraping, overloading of the Service, or the circumvention of security or content protection measures.

7.11. Are spam or unauthorized advertising.

The list of prohibitions is adjustable and may be expanded according to RELIC’s editorial and regulatory stance.

    8. Moderation, reports, and transparency

Aligned with Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (DSA) and international best practices for moderation.

8.1. Notice-and-action mechanism. Any person or entity may report allegedly illegal content, or content that infringes these Conditions, at support@relic-vr.com, indicating the location (URL) and the reasons. We will address notices diligently, in a non-arbitrary and objective manner.

8.2. Statement of reasons. When we limit visibility, remove content, suspend features, or terminate an account, we will inform you of the reasons and of the avenues for complaint, to the extent permitted by law.

8.3. Trusted flaggers. We will give priority to notices from recognized “trusted flaggers” in accordance with the DSA.

8.4. Point of contact. We maintain a point of contact for users and authorities at support@relic-vr.com.

8.5. Transparency. We will publish information about our practices and, where the law requires it, transparency reports on moderation.

8.6. Measures against misuse. We may suspend, after a warning, those who repeatedly publish manifestly illegal content or submit manifestly unfounded notices or complaints.

8.7. Recommendation and advertising systems. Where applicable, we will disclose the main parameters of the recommendation systems, we will not present advertising based on profiling with the data of minors or special categories, and we will not use deceptive interface designs (“dark patterns”).

    9. Penalties and appeals

9.1. Graduated penalties. Depending on the severity and recurrence, we may apply warnings, content removal, feature limitation, demonetization, temporary suspension, or account termination.

9.2. Recurrence. Repeated infringements, especially of copyright, lead to account termination.

9.3. Internal complaint (appeal) system. You have the right to appeal a moderation decision by writing to support@relic-vr.com within the period indicated. We will review your case under human supervision and communicate the reasoned outcome to you.

9.4. Out-of-court dispute resolution. Where the DSA provides for it, you may turn to a certified out-of-court dispute resolution body, without prejudice to your right to go to the courts.

    10. Service availability and beta features

10.1. We strive to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may carry out scheduled or emergency maintenance, endeavoring to give notice of scheduled maintenance where reasonable.

10.2. Some features may be offered as beta or in testing, “as is,” and we may modify, limit, or withdraw them.

    11. Geographic availability

The Service is offered in Mexico and in other countries where it is not legally restricted; for now it is not offered in the European Union or the United Kingdom. Certain content may not be available in all territories and may be subject to local legal restrictions, those of the Rights Holders, or export control and sanctions.

    12. Changes to the Service and to these Conditions

We may add, modify, or discontinue features. When the changes to these Conditions are material, we will notify you a reasonable time in advance, in accordance with clause 25 of the Terms.
